“Hula ula” translates into “red feather”. Hawaiians of old used red and yellow bird feathers extensively to make very beautiful and time consuming capes and headgear. Only a very few of these colorful birds have survived extinction.
Dietrich Varez personally hand screens and signs each of his brown, monocolor block prints on 80 lb. acid-free bond paper. Paper size is 9"x12" with image size smaller. Your print of 'Hula Ula' comes gently rolled in a tube with Dietrich’s biography.
