'Harvesting Limu' a block print by Dietrich Varez

"Limu" pickers is the Hawaiian word for seaweed.  Ther are many types of edible "limu" in the shallow waters of Hawaii.  Depicted here is a typical harvest scene.  Gathering limu was often done by the women. 

Dietrich Varez personally hand screens and signs each of his brown, monocolor block prints on 80 lb. acid-free bond paper. Paper size is 18"x24" with image size smaller. Your print of 'Harvesting Limu' comes gently rolled in a tube with Dietrich’s biography.
