'Lava Crack Paperweight' handformed by Michael & Misato Mortara

Glass making often requires two or more people to complete the work of art.  Here red, orange, and gold are locked into clear glass forming the round center.  Once cooled to a specific temprature the 'ball' is rolled along a strip of crushed black glass which forms the textured lava all around.
